Built from experience, run by a family
Owned by Igor Stančić and his family, they have over 50 years of experience with tourism on the Adriatic Sea. After maritime school, Igor started the first scampi business in Kvarner and met Irena Sladić. They had their son, Filip, and together, worked hard to build a very successful business, but the draw of tourism and sharing their love of Dalmatia was strong. In 2001, they purchased the first Lastavica (meaning swallow bird in Croatian) and ran day tours from Makarska Riviera.

In 2001, they purchased the first Lastavica (meaning swallow bird in Croatian) and ran day tours from Makarska Riviera.
By 2005, Igor and Irena decided to sell Lastavica in order to purchase a newer, larger ship that could take guests out on week-long cruises. Keeping the namesake, Lastavica, the Stančićs became known for their personable service, high standards of quality and great care for their guests. At the same time, they developed many great friendships with local winemakers, artisans and cheesemakers - all of which are experienced throughout your time onboard.
Once Filip completed his nautical education, the family built not one, but two new ships that would be under the command of father and son. With state-of-the-art technology, modern furnishings, and exceptional Croatian cuisine, Lastavica and Swallow offer the very finest in Dalmatian Coast cruising - all while keeping the personal touch of the Stančić family. When you cruise with Lastavica, you embark as a guest and return home as part of their family.
How the fleet grew
Our fleet consists of three new ships; Swallow, Lastavica and Nera. Swallow and Lastavica are two custom built sister ships. Swallow was built in 2019 and Lastavica in 2020. Both ships were built in Croatia under our strict supervision to ensure the quality and perfect arrangement of the layout. The design was made by naval designers, specialists in yacht shipbuilding which gave our fleet a yacht feel, but the space of a larger cruiser. The newest addition to our fleet, Nera, was purchased in 2023, and it is the newest yacht cruiser on the Adriatic Coast. Nera’s modern and elegant design with a touch of luxury contributes to an elevated cruise experience.

Our Mission
We offer cruising on yacht-type ships along the Croatian coast to groups of friends, family, companies and any group who is searching for a unique and elevated experience on the Adriatic which can accommodate up to thirty-six guests. We approach each client individually and personally and our ships are the perfect balance between cruise ship and yacht in a way in which the guests have intimacy on their own cruiser, but do not have the limitations of a smaller yacht.

Hospitality here is not a department. It is the whole company, from the wheelhouse to the galley.
All crew members are personally selected by the company owners, the Stančić family. Apart from having extensive experience in tourism and hospitality, our crew members are warm, welcoming and enthusiastic about making your cruise a truly unforgettable experience.
The cruise managers will be there to present the daily itinerary and provide the information on how to make the most of each destination, from arranging various activities and tours to making reservations for the best restaurants.
The captain and the sailors, with their maritime experience and outstanding knowledge of the Croatian coast, will keep you safe during your stay with us. You can relax and focus on immersing yourself in the local culture and soaking up the beauty of the Adriatic Sea.
